efflorescence

Efflorescence is the convergence of two female bodies, encompassing the complexity of interlacing human relationships and explores our profound connection with nature. It is composed of two recycled wooden mannequins, painted with textured acrylic paint, enclosed by a bloom of fauna.

Encompassing the cycle of birth, life and death. Mother Earth’s infinite intelligence is embodied through entwining vines and intrinsic patterns. Painted in a layer of rich spirals, each represents the possibility of endless love and our connection to the inner spirt.

Enveloped in a floral tapestry and a blaze in verdant blooms, the feminine body is radiant with the essence of life. Emerging from the groove of thick undergrowth, the figures are basking in the acceptance of love, representing the peaceful and organic harmony that exists in nature.

Set in compost, growing from the roots of decay and depleting real flowers, the piece delicately explores the transformational journey of life and death. Efflorescence is a rich unfolding and an embodiment of how beautiful it is to dissolve into our inner love. Serving as a gentle reminder, that it is possible to enter a state of bliss by being present and feeling our innate connection to the spirits of the natural world.
